Project Description

Designed and built a control cabinet equipped with 15 frequency inverters and an LS (LG) PLC to manage the movement of stage battens and bridges. The system was installed at a theatre school in Kraków and provides precise, synchronized control of stage elements. The project included electrical design, PLC programming, inverter configuration, and on-site commissioning.

Implemented functionality for selecting individual drives and controlling their movement using up and down arrow buttons. Added an option to set a uniform speed for all inverters through analog control from the PLC. All inverters were connected in series to the PLC’s analog output, enabling synchronized speed control.

Scope of HMI Programming:

  • Designed the graphical interface with functional buttons

  • Assigned Modbus addresses to buttons and limit switches

  • Developed speed control functionality accessible directly from the HMI
